Frequently Asked Questions

Free energy from that all natural big golden ball in the sky!

Q: How does solar equipment work? (Extremely well)

A: Solar panels turn light into electricity. The cells absorb the light and produce electric voltage, solar cells do not store any electricity, so all power produced is fed through a inverter and used by your location (your house or business) or sent to the grid. Alternatively you may wnat a battery and store it there against future requirements.

Q: what maintenance to the systems require?

A: the panels of the system should be cleaned at least 3 to 4 times per year or more due in our dusty air environment. i.e forest fire's.

Q: How long do solar panels last?

A: we say 25 years, but some systems have been run and no for 40 years.

Q: Is there something to stop electricity flowing back into the solar panel at night?

A:   yes,  Most systems are designed to stop this.

Q: What angle should my solar panel be positioned at?

A: This depends where you are in the world. However you might like to have a more detailed look here for more precise answer to question
Click To View: Solar Panel Angles. If you can understand it, drop me a line, let me know what angle works best for you.

Q Do solar panels still produce power on cloudy days?

A The less cloudy the day the better the production,. Up to a point. On a clear cloudless day in California, for example, after the panels get above a certain temperature the production drops.

Q: Is the electricity produced by a solar panel different from other sources?

A: The current produced is the same.
